When Money Moves In—But It's Not God Who Sent It

When Money Moves In—But It's Not God Who Sent It
By Khanyisa Manganyi ✨

You ever seen someone glow up so fast you start to wonder if God Himself was in a rush? One day they’re broke, borrowing Wi-Fi from the neighbor, and the next, they’re buying designer cologne just to go grocery shopping. At first, you clap, because why not? Favor ain't fair, right? But then… something smells funny. And no, it's not the Gucci Bloom. It’s spiritual. Something darker.

See, not every blessing is from Heaven. Some doors are opened by hands you don’t see—and you wouldn’t want to shake them if you could. We don’t talk about this enough in church because, well, money makes people uncomfortable. Especially when it’s cursed.

There’s this... let’s call it “situation.” A person, very close, started to change. They used to pray before decisions. Now they manifest. They used to tithe, now they tip the universe. They talk about “ancestors delivering bags” like it’s Uber Eats. And you can’t even confront them—because if you do, you’ll sound like a hater. Or worse, poor.

But you can feel the shift. The atmosphere around them is heavier. They glow in the dark, but not with the Light. Their eyes gleam, but joy is absent. They smile wide, but peace is nowhere to be found. And you realize... that ain’t the Holy Spirit that came with that “favor.” That’s a monitoring spirit dressed like a money manager.

Yes, monitoring spirits are real. These aren’t some Casper-the-friendly-demon types. No. They’re nosy, territorial, and sent to observe, derail, and if they can—destroy. Some are even assigned by people who pretend to love you. Witchcraft doesn’t always come with candles and chanting. Sometimes it’s as simple as an evil eye and a jealous sigh.

Scripture? Oh, don’t worry—God warned us way before YouTube prophets did.

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” — 1 Peter 5:8

Monitoring spirits are the devil’s little interns. Sent to watch you. Report back. Whisper lies. Entice. Distract. And they’re often linked to things you think are blessings. That random ex texting you at 2AM? Monitored. That opportunity that pulled you out of church and into places you don’t belong? Monitored. That sudden cashflow that came with insomnia, confusion, and bad company? Say it with me: monitored.

Some folks are rich but restless. Upgraded but oppressed. Covered in gold but starving for God. It’s possible to gain the world and still lose sleep. Scripture again?

“The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.” — Proverbs 10:22

If it came with tears, torment, and terrifying dreams—baby, that’s not a blessing. That’s a trap with a bow on it.

But here’s the scariest part: the enemy doesn’t just want your money, your peace, or your mind. He wants access. Once he can monitor you, influence you, and then control you—he has you. You’ll call it “alignment,” but Heaven will call it deception.

Now, let’s not panic. Let’s pray. And stay discerning. Not everything flashy is holy. Not every person with “energy” has the anointing. Some of them are just well-dressed agents. With ring lights and spiritual contracts.

Sometimes I wonder if this “situation” knows what they’ve welcomed in. Or if they’re too deep to see the strings. I wish I could say more. But then again, maybe I already have.

I’ll leave you with this:

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” — Mark 8:36

So next time you see someone who suddenly has it all, pause before you clap. And pray before you congratulate. Heaven gives gifts. Hell gives deals. Only one comes with peace.

Whew. That was heavy, huh? But let’s not act brand new. These things are real, even when folks want to keep it cute. Me? I’d rather be broke and blessed than paid and possessed. But hey—that’s just me.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go pray over my bank notifications. 😅
Catch you on the next truth drop. You're gonna want to stick around.
